Six step recipe for making gyros!

It’s not often that I come across an original Greek recipe for gyros. My dad used to work at a local Chicago meat-market that specialized in the mass production and distribution of gyro. He’s told me many horror-stories of how the meat was processed and converted into the compressed cones of meat one typically finds in an average fast food joint in the States.
As you all know, gyros is the national Greek food! The breakfast of champions… :)
This 6-step video comes much closer to the original thing. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.

Hey, I was reading your post and I just wanted to thank you for putting out such excellent content. There is so much junk on the internet these days its difficult to find anything worthwhile. I actually have cooked this recipe before, I got this book last month on recommendation from a friend http://ninjahq.com/go/cookingrecipes and it turned out quite nice! I’m very eager to try your variation of it though, it looks fantastic. I think you might enjoy those recipes, they’re very good. Thanks for the article and great ideas.

if you were writing in Greek you wouldn’t say, “so that everyone can improve their Greek. You would say, “so that everyone (kanenas) could improve “his” Greek. Masc. singular. “his” would refer to “everyone” which is singular not plural; therefore, his is the correct modifier in Greek and English. Hope you don’t mind a little editing. sincerely, evyenios.

I love learn Greek daily, its excellent especially for an old pensioner like me who cannot afford to go to a Greek learning class. Although I now live in Cyprus it is affordable to live here than in the UK, and the sun shines and the Cyprus people are very very nice people. Thank you Greekionary . com. CyprusLenny.
